Governors

Governors will include:


  • Parents elected by other parents at the school
  • Staff elected by their colleagues
  • Local Authority representatives
  • Co-opted governors


Governors can:


  • make a difference to how well the school runs
  • see how their efforts help raise standards
  • do something positive for the next generation
  • serve the local community
  • help realise their own potential by learning new skills


Governors are appointed to help:


  • with the management and organisation of the curriculum
  • with the administration of the school budget
  • with the selection and appointment of staff
